Breathwork therapy is up and coming, I myself have a breathwork therapist and have found enormous benefit with this therapy. It practices in the conscious control of breathing, influence your mental, emotional and physical state with a therapeutic effect.
The duration of the session is 3 hours in total which involves 90 minutes of talking therapy and 60 minutes of deep breathing and 30 minutes of integration. During the breathing session, you intentionally change your breathing pattern. Breathwork is described as a group of exercises that teach you to manipulate your breathing rate and depth with the goal of bringing awareness to your breath and ultimately providing the same benefit you may get from a meditative practice. I recall after my first session I was so overwhelmed with the feelings I was having that I recall saying to the therapist “they should prescribe this on the NHS”
